CO2e - What's In a Name?
Carbon Dioxide Equivalent, or CO2e, is the common denominator for discussing emissions, allowing us to understand the global warming potential of different greenhouse gases. We embraced CO2e as our company name since our purpose is to help decarbonize the built environment and to promote sustainability education.
What Sets Us Apart.
Objective and Data-Driven. We do not have a bias to any particular approach or materials. We present objective, data-driven analysis to clients so they can make the decisions that are right for them.
Complete Emissions Picture: While some consultants focus exclusively on energy efficiency or certain low carbon building materials, we consider the big picture of embodied and operating emissions. This helps to ensure objectivity when presenting different emission reduction options. It has also supported the breadth of our education modules.
High Value, Low Cost: As a small, start-up organization we are nimble, flexible and have low overhead.
Senior Resource Involved Throughout: You will not be sold work by a Senior Partner then left working with a Junior Associate. At CO2e, you will be working with a senior executive who understands the challenges of operating a business.
Engagement Through Education: Our education programs help sift through all of the jargon, to give corporate sustainability initiatives traction. On our building projects, it allows leaders to make informed decisions on reducing their carbon footprint.
Who We Are.
Jason Phillips is the founder of CO2e. Over a 25-year career, Jason has worked as a COO, General Manager and Vice-President in Operations and Corporate Development roles. He has a depth of experience running a business and understands what drives value. Over the last 10 years of his career, he led the design/build of industrial construction projects. Driven by a desire to do something meaningful and have an impact on climate change, Jason immersed himself in courses and certifications on sustainability. He founded CO2e to help decarbonize the built sector and to provide corporate sustainability education.
